Iran and Tanzania continue to collaborate in fostering Quranic education and international Quranic engagement.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Prominent Iranian qaris are set to travel to Tanzania to participate in a major Quranic gathering in Dar es Salaam. The international event, titled “Voice of Mercy,” is scheduled for May 25, 2025, and will take place in the Tanzanian capital.

The large-scale gathering, held under the theme “A Grand Assembly in the Light of the Quran,” aims to bring together Quran reciters from various countries. Renowned qaris will perform, showcasing their expertise in Quranic recitation.

Among the distinguished qaris attending are Iran’s Hamed Shakernejad and Ahmad Abolghasemi, both internationally recognized figures. They have gained significant prominence as hosts of the widely followed Mahfel TV Show and have recently participated in Quranic events in Indonesia.

Other notable performers at the event include Sayed Jalal Masoomi, another Mahfel TV host, and Rajai Ayoub, along with Tanzania’s Iddi Shaaban. Additionally, two young Iranian talents, Mohammad Hossein Azimi and Mohanna Ghanbari, will deliver recitations at the gathering.
